Injectables We Offer at EvolvMD MedSpa in Milwaukee

Injectables & filler are offered at EvolvMD MedSpa in Milwaukee, WI to combat the signs of aging. These injectable treatments work by smoothing & minimizing wrinkles, restoring volume, and increasing collagen.

Why Do I Need Injectables or Filler?

As a natural part of the aging process, skin loses its youthful abundance of collagen, elasticity, and volume. Volume loss results in fine lines and wrinkles that can make us look, and feel, older than we are.

Minimally invasive solutions like Botox®, dermal fillers, and the newest innovation in anti-aging, Sculptra, can help prevent this from happening. They have the power to replace lost volume to reduce and eliminate the signs of aging.

In as little as 10 minutes, patients of EvolvMD can look younger and more radiant.

What Is the Difference Between Botox and Filler?

Botox and filler both target different structures. Both treatments can work together to provide a more youthful and natural look.

Botox specifically affects the muscles of the face. It’s ideal if you’re noticing facial lines or wrinkles while making certain facial expressions. It works by freezing the muscles in place to prevent lines from forming. Common Botox injection sites include crow’s feet, 11’s, and forehead lines.

Fillers specifically address plumping and are ideal for areas that have lost volume due to aging. Examples of fillers include Restylane injections and Sculptra injections.

With a treatment like Restylane, you’ll see immediate results and added volume. Sculptra is slightly different, as it encourages the natural production of collagen over time.

Dysport vs Botox: Which Injectable Is Right for Me?

Botox injections and Dysport injections have an identical function, as described above. Each treatment consists of the same bacterium: Clostridium botulinum. They are essentially different brand names for the same treatment. The difference between the two is how quickly you see results and how long those results last.

How long Dysport lasts can vary from person to person, but it tends to last longer and work more immediately than Botox. When you consult with Dr. Reiswig, she’ll recommend the right treatment for you based on your medical history, goals, and other factors.

What is Restylane, and Which Restylane Treatment Should I Choose?

Restylane was the first aesthetic hyaluronic acid filler to receive FDA approval in the United States. It’s now a full family of products including Silk, Kysse, Voluma, Contour, and Lyft. Each injectable is ideal for plumping a different area of the face.

It’s common for Dr. Reiswig to use multiple Restylane products during your treatment to help you achieve your desired look. The best way to learn which injectable is right for you is to schedule a consultation.
